Zone priorities

Control which zone is offered when a customer's address matches more than one published zone.

The problem overlapping zones create

Two zones can legitimately cover the same address — for example a broad “Metro delivery” radius zone and a narrower “Downtown same-day” zone. Without an explicit order, SlotSmith can’t know which one the customer should be offered.

Setting priority

Go to SlotSmith → Zones → Priorities to see every published zone in a single ordered list. Drag a zone up to prefer it over zones below it when addresses overlap. The topmost matching zone is the only one offered — SlotSmith never shows a customer two competing delivery options for the same address.

Default behavior

If you never set an explicit order, SlotSmith falls back to “most specific coverage wins”: a postal-code-list zone outranks a radius zone, and a smaller radius outranks a larger one. We recommend setting an explicit order once you have more than two overlapping zones, since the default heuristic gets harder to predict as coverage grows.
