How SlotSmith counts usage against your plan, and what happens when you're close to a limit.
What counts as usage
SlotSmith bills on published zones, not on slot or booking volume. A zone only counts while it’s published; draft and archived zones are free.
Checking current usage
SlotSmith → Billing → Usage shows your published zone count against your plan’s limit, updated in real time as you publish or archive zones.
Approaching a limit
At 90% of your plan’s zone limit, SlotSmith shows a banner in the admin with a link to upgrade. You are never blocked from publishing mid-cycle — SlotSmith notifies rather than hard-stops, since delivery coverage changes are often time-sensitive.
Downgrading
If you downgrade to a plan with a lower zone limit than your current published count, SlotSmith keeps every zone published and simply flags the account as over-limit until you archive enough zones to fit, or upgrade again.
