Importing zones from CSV
Bring an existing delivery-region list into SlotSmith in bulk instead of creating zones one at a time.
When to use CSV import
CSV import is intended for onboarding a large existing postal-code or region list — most merchants only run it once, during setup.
File format
Your file needs three columns: zone_name, coverage_type (radius, postal_code, or pickup), and coverage_value. Download the template from SlotSmith → Zones → Import → Download template to get the exact header row.
Running an import
- Go to SlotSmith → Zones → Import.
- Upload your CSV. SlotSmith validates every row before creating anything — it never partially imports a file.
- Review the validation summary. Rows with errors are listed with their line number and reason.
- Confirm to create all valid zones as Draft. Imported zones still need a rule attached before they can publish — import does not create rules.
